I'm heading up to Oxford today for the LSU vs. Ole Miss Baseball Game. This will be my first trip to oxford. Any good places to get a bite to eat before the game?

Get a Larry Burger from proud Larry's.... It holds the record for best burger I've eaten

Their sweet potato fries are also great

Seconded. The food there is good as well.

I'm also an Ajax fan. One of the handful of places I'll eat catfish.

If you're just grabbing a lunch my favorite places are Ajax, Rib Cage, or Proud Larry's. If you're willing to stay for dinner I'd recommend Boure or Taylor Grocery.

Go to Ajax if you want food that tastes like a bucket of salt was poured on top of it.

It's soul food so I'm pretty sure that's what they do.

That's fine but I couldn't even taste the actual food due to how salty it was

It's not the best food in Oxford but for being as reasonably priced as it is, Ajax isn't overrated at all.

I heard a rumor on Tiger Rant you will get beer poured on in the outfield if you are a LSU fan, probably not a good idea.
