Any gatah fans know if this is true or just a rumor? If true can anyone speculate on how this will turn out? I've never heard of a player that plays atleast 3 different offensive positiones and just switches to defense to try his hand at safety.

I do think if anyone could pull it off, it would be him, he's a freak.

He won't be playing QB for Weis, I can promise you that.

Syvelle Newton did it for us.

Played Quarterback, Wide Receiver, Running back, and safety. Believe he refilled the Gatorade jugs and washed the towels as well. Not sure if he painted the lines on the field as well, but he was in charge of the videoboard.

It is true. He has been playing safety his entire life, and if you have seen his throwing motion, safety is probably a better fit for him than QB in a Weis system.

Oh I didnt know he played safety in highschool, but I can see him in the slot, he had some clutch catches this year there.

He's gonna be one hard hitting safety thats for sure

I just cannot see him playing safety for us. maybe in specific situations, but not a full-time starter. I could see him in a 3-4 linebacker role, but I think he'll stick to the offensive side of the ball.

I look at matt elam and they look so similar in size and athletic ability, i think he could pull off a nasty safety

We could be a great safety, like Haden ended up being a great corner. The kid is a baller, he will be fine.

That kid is a physical freak I am sure he could play anywhere they line him up.

I felt this year Urban basically said "this kid is the best athlete I have, let's let him play QB".
