My travel advice...DON'T. It is one of the nastiest, crime-infested, skeeziest towns in America. That place makes my skin crawl.

Here is my thread from two years ago with some really good info. I went to Parrains on friday night and it was delicious. Packed but definitely worth the wait. P.3 has all the good info.

2. Depending on your age...if 21-30 then go to Fred’s for free drinks 7-9pm. $10 cover and tip your bartender, that’s the only cost.

3. Varies really, depending if you have your own set up or are looking to join someone.

Don't drink the water. The best food comes from the fine dining establishment called Taco Bell in the form of a taco with an egg mysteriously cooked into it. Absolutely brilliant. when in Rome.

If there is one thing you can’t talk trash about in Baton Rouge...it’s the Food.

George's Place

George's is great for a burger, curley fries and a beer...if I'm going out for drinks though, Chelsea's. Or at least, that's the way I remember it.

Yes...I've been to George's more times than I can count...but only about 3 times in the last 30 years. It was my dad's favorite place when I was a kid...he took me all the time. Hardly anything about that place changed from the early 80's to the last time I was there a few years ago.
