Bama, in all likelihood, will destroy MSU. That said, State pulls an upset on Bama about 2 times per decade. They beat Bama in Vegas back in 1997/98 when Bama was top 10 (if memory serves, David Palmer was there). Croom even beat Bama with Saban at the helm. Everyone who knows anything about SEC football knows about the John "F'n" Bond game that State won 6-3 with the Bear on the sidelines.
State can stop the run and Bama uses the run to dictate the entire game. If State can intercept a ball or two and convert those turnovers into TDs, they have a chance, albeit slight.

OP is right, on paper it's a total trap game.
Conference game on the road, after a big emotional win, possibly looking ahead to future better opponents, etc.
