I'd probably say Mizzou is as good as LSU or MSU

I don't think so. I'd put them on Louisville level.

Still one quality team < three

If LSU can't handle Syracuse easily then they're in big trouble

Everyone in the SEC has a tough schedule, especially the west, and especially someone who plays an out of conference game that the team is worth a damn.
Alabama plays Wisconsin, plus draws Georgia and Tennessee from the east.
Schedules come and go, 2 years ago everyone bitched about how alabama doesnt play anyone, now they have the toughest schedule in the sec this year... comes and goes.

Lafayette is no slouch. I bet they keep it within 14 points of Kentucky.

Breaking in a new QB and a lot of new players on the DL and several wr's lost with injuries for the season. They will have really good LB play but i don't think ULL will be as competitive as they have been the last 4 years.
