Laugh all you want but national titles are political to a point. Undefeated seasons don't lie....... Should we consider LSU's 2 loss national title as better than Auburns undefeated 2004 season?

For simpletons maybe, but Auburns 2004 season is better than Lsu's 2007 season to me.

ETA: I would rather win a national title, but if you ask me which season is better I have enough brain power to say Auburn

God damn, the SEC was so much easier to keep track of three years ago.

My avatar (and username as well) has nothing to do with Pokemon.

South Carolina's cross-divisional games since 1992:

1992

Permanent

Arkansas 3-7-1
MSU 7-5

Rotating

Bama 13-0 (National Champions)

1993

Arkansas 5-5-1
MSU 3-6-2

Bama 9-3-1 (won SEC West)

1994

Arkansas 4-7
MSU 8-4

LSU 4-7

(Illustrating how weak the West was for years in comparison to Florida and Tennessee's and even Georgia's run in the 90s)

1995

Arkansas 8-5 (won SEC West)
MSU 3-8

LSU 7-4-1

1996

MSU 5-6
Arkansas 4-7

Auburn 8-4

(UF won MNC)

1997

MSU 7-4
Arkansas 4-7

Auburn 10-3 (won SEC West)

1998 (Lou Holtz's first year)

MSU 8-5 (won SEC West)
Arkansas 9-3

Ole Miss 7-5

(UT won BCS)

1999

MSU 10-2
Arkansas 8-4

Ole Miss 8-4

2000

MSU 8-4
Arkansas 6-6

Bama 3-8

2001

MSU 3-8
Arkansas 7-5

Bama 7-5

2002

MSU 3-9
Arkansas 9-5 (won SEC West)

LSU 8-5

2003

Rotating

LSU 13-1 (Wins BCS)
Ole Miss 10-3

Permanent

Arkansas 9-4

2004

Bama 6-6
Ole Miss 4-7

Arkansas 5-6

2005 (Spurrier's first year)

Bama 10-2
Auburn 9-3

Arkansas 4-7

2006

MSU 3-9
Auburn 11-2

Arkansas 10-4 (won SEC West)

(Florida won BCS)

2007

LSU 12-2 (won BCS)
MSU 8-5

Arkansas 8-5

2008

Ole Miss 9-4
LSU 8-5

Arkansas 5-7

(Florida won BCS)

2009

Ole Miss 9-4
Bama 14-0 (wins BCS)

Arkansas 8-5

2010

x2 Auburn 14-0 (wins BCS)
Bama 10-3

Arkansas 10-2

(and people wonder why we didn't win more that year)

2011

Auburn 8-5 (frick we should have beaten them that year!)
MSU 7-6

Arkansas 11-2

2012

LSU 12-3 (this was the year we were supposed to get MSU at home, instead we went to LSU)
Arkansas 4-8

2013

Permanent

Arkansas 3-9

Rotating

MSU 7-6

I could total it all up ... but no, Auburn has not played the toughest cross-divisional games since expansion. SCAR has played more SEC West champions and more National Champions from the East and West than anyone from the West and probably the East since expansion, until maybe very very recently ... during the regular season, not counting SECCGs.

Beginning in 2014

Permanent

Texas A&M

Rotating

@ Auburn

So no, it probably ain't changing anytime soon.

Cocks dgaf ... line'em up and let's play.

I'll line SCAR's historical schedules since expansion up against anyone else's.

Because as an Auburn fan, I would rather see my team play a good game against a great opponent than a blowout against weak competition that has no legitimate chance to win, personally.

And I'm sure Bama fans love that you think that. They just sit and there corner and egg y'all and others on about "how tough y'all are for excepting your hard schedule. See how y'all aren't whiny bitches like LSU fans". And it makes you feel good about yourself. While they sit in there corner and enjoy their "cupcakes" and titles. And yes I am very butthurt

meh, the only titles I care about are ones that aren't popularity contests.
Each season, at the beginning of the season, each team in the SEC has the ability to win the conference title that year. You win the games, you win the chance to play for the conference title.
Polls and rankings and sportswriters have no control over that.

telling me that somehow alabama is the "national champion" because they beat a team that had already beaten them in the regular season and was undefeated through the regular season and was the conference champion doesn't mean a whole lot to me. if anything, they should have played a third game to see who was really better, can't really do a best one out of two.

and the audacity to sit and say "every game counts" while that is going on is ludicrous.

they can have their mythical titles, I will take the feeling I get when I see my team, as an underdog, supposedly going to lose by double digits, fight and claw and come out victorious against the "greatest team in the history of anything" and the "greatest coach to ever breathe air" and whatnot.
