Tells you a lot more than a yardage stat.

Ehh, yards per play is about as useful stat as you'll find for defenses. I'd like to see how that breaks down for the SEC.

This one probably matters the least, actually. Defensive and Special Teams scores count against this number. It's a stat that's fun to brag about, but doesn't always paint an accurate picture.

Agreed, Mizzou should have given up even less points if you get rid of interceptions/special teams/and referees.

Too bad it's all wasted with our dead last in the SEC offense.

Yea...I read that as Mizzou #8 in the country and #1 in the SEC.

Next week against Florida will be a defensive slug fest

I actually think LSU and Alabama match up almost identical. LSU has advantage at RB position but Alabama has been successful at stopping the run. Alabama's pass game looked a little better this weekend but that has not been the case all year. Passing will improve for both teams as the year goes on.

Should be a great game.

We give up 21 points a game and score a lot more.

Seems like we have exactly what we need.

So Missouri has the best defense in the SEC.

Interesting.

It's been that way since the start of the season I think. If only we had an offense to go along with it.

We have yet to allow a defensive or special teams TD and have scored 1 of each.

Scoring Defense:(the one that actually matters)

Congratulations on your gigantic scoring defense improvement.
In 2015 Through five games A&M has given up 105 points.
In 2014 through five games A&M had given up 75 points.
Nothing says gigantic scoring defense improvement more than giving up six points more per game.
Aggie Math.

Because that is an apple to apples comparison. Anyone with eyes sees A&M's defensive improvement. Just keep holding on to hope that somehow Chavis forgot to coach and that Steele learned.

Auburn is 92 - against some sub-par opponents too.

I never would have guessed that. I was thinking they needed to be top 40 to have a good shot at winning, and with Boom's resume, I thought that would be easy.

Just when you think Aggie can't Aggie harder, we learn that math is not "apples to apples".
Congrats on another September National Championship.
See you in November.

Yeah. Ask Oregon about that.
