Come hype time.. I think Fournette is going to have a pretty impressive highlight reel. We'll find out soon enough

If he has a solid performance and LSU happens to win against Bama.. even if he just has one big run.. I don't think the hype train can be derailed regardless of what Boykin does.

Who can say though. Bama may hold him under 100

Wasn't Brandon Jacobs on that same team?

OP included an LSU rb....but I still don't think many of you get just how good LF is. Faulk was incredible at LSU. He is not in the same class with LF.

So shitty that he got hurt.

He would've been ranked among the best

Chubb's swann song too. Imagine if we had an Oline...we still have very good backs and they look like crap compared to those 2 with the same OLs...

In my opinion. You are not Great nor quality for a too 5 list of all time until you prove it for 2-3 yrs. There is no doubt how tallented LF is. But there have been some sick one year wonders. Dont take that wrong because I dont think that is the case with LF. But lets see him play for a couple years above everyone else before we crown him for something he has "yet" to earn.

Because all those guys had long successful collegiate careers and Fournette has had a great 6 games, against terrible competition outside Florida

unbelievable that we still have some of these out there.

As an LSU fan, and with Faulk being on the list, I can tell you that Faulk was really, really good....and nowhere close to LF.

It's hilarious saying terrible competition.....he has played against some solid teams outside of Florida.....namely Miss state has a pretty solid D as well....and of course all these other guys played against the Steel Curtain every week. It really does amaze me still the complete ignorance some have on here. this poor bastard obviously thinks LF isn't all that.....despite what all the actual superstars are saying. I guess it's jealousy.

LOL

The ignorance is unreal.

He has played a year and a half so far, with about 2,500 yards......so if he gets 2k this year, after 1k his freshman year...then sits out next year...damn...LF will not be allowed to be great....lmao. Solid Rationale.

oh, so they are good because they were in high-school right?

LSU fans tried to tell you guys that LSU had the best rb group in the SEC....and got laughed at....I don't think anyone will be laughing after the year ends.

Never said that. But IMO he will not make the top 3 on my list without another full season dominating his competition. But thats only one mans opinion who played and coached the game.

I think it should be weighted for how many carries a back had and not just based on total career yards.

I don't know who it is, but I would say the best SEC running back of all time would be the one that averaged the most yards per carry for his career.

Makes sense doesn't it?

Auburn's best group of RBs was actually right before Bo. In 1979 we had Joe Cribbs (three time pro bowler), William Andrews (4 time pro bowler), and James Brooks (4 time pro bowler) all on the same team. Amazing how bad of a coach Barfield was with all that talent.

Felix Jones, Nick Chubb, and Brent Fullwood are the top three in ypc who have at least 300+ career carries. Those three all have career ypc over 7.0, and are the only ones in SEC history to do so (from 1956 on anyway).

If Brent Fullwood hadn't been stuck behind Bo for three seasons everyone would think of him as a top 10 SEC back all time.In his one season as a starter he ran for right under 1400 yards with an insane 8.3 ypc.
