I have Ohio State above LSU by the thinnest of margins; mainly for the overall consistency.
The only thing consistent about Ohio State this century is that they have been virtually unopposed for leadership of the Big Ten. Oklahoma has had this luxury as well playing in the Big Twelve. No other teams winning a title in the Big Ten and ONLY a one-time win by Texas in 19 years of competition does not support the schedule strength argument being largely ignored by fans of both teams. Ohio Sate and Oklahoma would be upper tier SEC teams but would not have near their gleaming win-loss records if they had to compete and play against the likes of Alabama, LSU, Florida, Georgia, and Auburn every season. It's nice to be in a one or two team conference but it shouldn't be as respected an accomplishment as the fans of Ohio State and Oklahoma claim it to be.

It's just wild to me that Alabama is #1 on this list after what we went through from 2000-2007 (40% of the 21st century so far).

Boise State deserves to be in the Top 10 with what they have done.

He won two championships, a great accomplishment to be sure but hardly "best coach ever".

Dabo's best season (2018) was much, much better than Saban's only undefeated season (2009), the latter needed a blocked FG to beat pathetic Tennessee at home and ofc Colt McCoy going down in the BCS title game. Orgeron also has Saban beat there by a wide margin with last season. We'll see if either of those coaches are granted the same second-chances that Saban has benefitted from throughout his career

You don't seem jaded at all. Very rational and clear headed.

Dabo & Co likely barely have to gameplan during the season.

Probably why he gives them an extra day off.
