Alabama is actually a really good school. Not surprised they are one of the top schools in at least one area. Wonder where your law program ranks, I believe UF's is one of the top 20 but not sure the exact ranking anymore.

SEC Law ranks (US News)

#15 Vandy
#21 Bama
#33 UGA
#46 UF
#58 UK
#61 UT
#68 Ark
#76 LSU
#76 Mizzou

#102 Ole Miss

Lol - Alabama isn't in the top 50 for business schools. As a Darden graduate I laugh at the gump school of business.

I had 2 friends that just finished with MBA's from Arkansas. They said it is directed toward industrial and marketing (Think Walmart and Tyson). Both guys are pretty sharp, but they said it wasn't hard, just time consuming. Friends that went to Wharton, Chicago, and Texas seemed to get more out of it. Of course that would be expected.

(and if you look, you'll see its not even close for 2nd place)

Isnt this ranking really based upon value though

It's about networking and what companies come to recruit at that MBA school. And that $100,000 is worth it ten fold when you are attending a top 20-30 MBA program. They could teach you absolutely nothing at Wharton and you would still come out ahead in life.

Plus you can't argue with the starting salaries of the top programs. I don't really see a point in an MBA if you aren't going to a top 30 school.. unless its for an executive MBA and you're already in that type of role.

Oh yeah? Well the new Terry Business College expansion is going to cost at least a hundred million to build. So... yeah, business promoting business.

How is it a great recruiting too? How many starters are in the business school? Serious question.

Only way a Bama football player makes it into their MBA program is if they have no GMAT requirement.

In all seriousness though - Vandy and TAMU are the only SEC school's with business schools worth mentioning.

South Carolina is continuously ranked as one of, if not, the best international business school in the entire country. I think that's worth mentioning.

65th - that's awful. That's behind Bama/UT/Georgia etc.

In all seriousness though, what you learn at a top 10 business school is what almost destroyed our entire economy in 2008-2009 and made 99% of the population want to drop a nuke Wall Street.
