I am confused about this. ESPN link below shows UA ranked 4th and aTm ranked 12th in total yards. Yards attempt the aggies are 2nd but that is the highest they have. What am I missing.

Should Bama win? Sure, they are a great team playing at home and talent for talent are better on paper. That said, the way the media is acting like this game is a foregone conclusion is amazing. A&M still is 6-0 and has beaten several very solid teams that are ranked. They can run the ball and they have a defense that can make stops. They have a Sr QB that has beaten Bama before. They have a RB that has been destroying every defense he has seen and an excellent group of WR's. They have the best bookend DE's in CFB and 3 excellent Safeties.

A&M does have holes and is not perfect but they are a quality team and they just had a bye week to rest and prepare for Bama. Will they win? Probably not, but they certainly have a legit shot.

We currently lead the SEC in rushing. I get your run D is fantastic, but we will be the best rush offense you've faced this year by quite a bit and will likely end up being the best you face all year when it's over. To completely abandon what we do best on offense would be quite dumb

Or I'm guessing you haven't watched us and still think we throw it 50 times a game

Tom is a dick riding idiot. Bama cannot wear down the Aggies too deep everywhere and they have not played a defense as good as Texas a and m

Like bullshite aside, Aggies are foreal this year and if not in the sec west we would be putting them in the playoffs. Bamas front 7 from top to bottom sans miles Garrett is unmatched. Literally, every other position on the field with the exception of tight end I would give the edge to Aggies. Corner is probably bama as well but neither are world beaters I'd take flordias corners over both

With that said you're not running on bama unless its qb scrambles. You can give that shite up I dont care what your run offense is ranked. Saban recruits to shut down the run and they do.

Ole Miss hangs with Alabama and they have no running game to speak of. they pass. that's what Arkansas did and they scored some points.

do not think because you are putting up gaudy rushing stats that you are going to line up and run the football at Alabama.

now, if you get the passing game moving then you'll find some room.

Les miles never figured this out. He gone now.

I would argue that the A&M passing game won't be as important as the QB's ability to scramble and make things happen, either throwing or running. If you plan on dropping back, standing in the pocket and picking Bama apart, you're in for a rude surprise.

Mobile QB's almost always cause Saban problems.

Luge lost all credibility when talking A&M. He got bitch slapped for all his anti A&M hate and took a hit ($$$) when they entered the conference.

He was going to get a major raise when the ESPN Texas (now LHN) and ESPN HS were supposed to take off, because of their emphasis on recruiting. Blames A&M for being relegated to current status.

maybe not as big a point beat down but the same kind of domination.

does look like a difficult matchup - you have to have a strong o-line and a powerful passing offense. a&m has neither.

they'd better let knight pass and pass often on first and second down, and his receivers better make some plays or lugenbill is going to be right on the money, I fear.

I would hope for a better game. Gig 'em, Aggies!

i would tend to agree with him. Bama "only" wins by 28.

Bama may break 1000 yards of offense in this game.

Stats can be misleading when looking at the teams achieved against. Who has run on Bama in the last 5 years besides 2011 regular season LSU?

There has been exactly one game where a team has lined up on Bama and manhandled us running. OSU in 2014. Mostly because they were opening up holes passing beautifully.

Either way, going to be a close game here. 34-31 Alabama.

How far back are we going? Tennessee in 14 and UGA in 15 both ran for 180-190 yards at 4-5 ypc. That's not manhandling but we aren't going to manhandle you either obviously. We do need to be two dimensional otherwise your pass rush will eat us alive and we will be taking the ball out of arguably our best playmakers' hands in Trayveon Williams.

If we are going earlier than 2014 then Auburn certainly ran all over you in 13 and we have run very well against you in both games we were competitive (12 and 13)

I mean technically yes, half those came on one carry when Georgia was down by 100 points, but technically you're right. If you have a young offensive line you're not running the ball on Alabama. Those are grown arse men up front

We will find out, if the game plan were to sling it around 50-60 times with Trevor Knight there would be little use in showing up. He is a great athlete and runner but simply not that type of thrower outside of one game in his career.

So Alabama's front 7 is better. But literally every other spot on defense goes to aTm. But wait not the corner spots. So around 9 spots on the defense go to Alabama. But literally nothing else on that side of the ball!!

Congrats on the dumbest post of the day.

Abandoning what got ya there seems dumb 99% of the time, but shite. Y'all have to chunk the ball around the yard. And if not, I guess be balanced and play a perfect game...?

Mississippi and Arkansas combined for 73 points. They threw the ball 101 times. I just think you'll be screaming at your TV mid 2nd quarter if y'all try to pound it down Alabama's throat.
