Apparently so it goes with everyone. Ask uga which missed a field goal this year and lost to Tech by 1.

Kicking game is important for everyone, but Tech runs so much, and is not exactly built to come from behind. Therefore they must be able to get at least three in the red zone once they reach it. It wasn't a shot. If I said I hate that 70's style offense, and that they have peaked with their number of wins per year with it, then that would be a shot.
