We dominated the first half and were gashing yall on the ground, and then our offensive game plan completely changed in the second half. Instead of pounding the ball we passed on almost every down and had a few 3 and outs, and on the other hand, LSU sustained a few long scoring drives in the second half. I felt like we had like three possessions that entire second half.

Was a weird game.

Yup, I remember the LSU fans at the tailgate I was at talking to me at half time about how we were just dominating them and doing whatever we wanted... and then second half started and it was an entirely different ball game. I've never understood an OC's need to do different shite all the time. When something is working, yeah, sure, throw something else in here and there to keep the defense honest, but keep doing what is working until it stops working. This obsession with balance is just dumb.

Bama O-line did some nice blocking on that play. I was there and was thinking we had a chance to win. Then saw 3rd and Chavis in its glory and new we were fricked.

So I'm curious if this play made you fear for your safety and that point in time, or did you sense that everyone was so deflated that they wouldn't give you shite?

I remember leaving the game and not even lifting my head up...thinking how the frick did we just lose that game? Bama fans for the most part were pretty cool after the game.

Doug Nussmeier for ya. I could not stand him as an OC. That Oklahoma game continues to blow my mind.

Most of the folks around me were pretty nice, and I was with an attractive LSU girl whom I am friends with. I didn't really cheer per se when we scored that TD, I think I just said "HOLY shite" a few times during the play.

But yeah, everyone was pretty deflated leaving the game. Most everyone that I came in contact with after the game acted decent.

SVP on Tiger Stadium Visit 2012

Sucks we lost that game but SVP said it right. That was one of the best game environments I have ever seen.

Today is the 15th anniversary of Josh Reed bending Bama over and making them his bitch....

I forget the numbers but I'll get close 19 catches for 291 yards or some insane number.

For all of Saban's greatness, he's made questionable decisions in some of these games. 2012 was one of them, because Lacy and Yeldon got maybe 20 carries combined. Some of the calls made in 2011 were pretty bad too, most notably putting Maze back to return Wing's punt late in the 4th with a bum ankle. It went over his head at midfield and rolled another 30 yards, effectively ending Bama's chances of winning the game in regulation. The Maze pass to the TE that Reid picked off was a weird call too given the momentum on that drive.

For all of Les' shortcomings, I thought he had the Tigers ready to play in every regular season Bama game from 2007-2014. Even in 2013, a game that ended up 38-17, we had it tied in the 3rd quarter. That's not even accounting for Copeland's fumble at the goal line in the 1st quarter. Eventually, Bama's depth and superior situational coaching wins out. Also LSU seems to make more disastrous mental errors at the worst times. Last year was really the first time we've been outclassed from the get-go.

That play was a touchdown if the underneath receiver runs the right route. Ed Reid would not have been there otherwise. It was a great play call that almost blew the game wide open. Mistakes were made and Reid made an incredible interception.

Rocky Block. I would rank the Yeldon TD #2.

No doubt. Though it sucks that I hate Mt Cody now. It makes that gif not as enjoyable

Some Bama fans won't admit it but with the matchups the past 10 years between Bama and LSU, this game is a rivalry and has had the most at stake for the SEC since 2009 and its captured the attention of the nation each be every year since 2007. I mean we're a 2 loss team and we have the prime time slot for a night game against Bama this weekend, that should speak volumes for what the nation thinks of this game.

This game is HUGE and has turned into a modern day rival.

yeah, the fact that it was one step is literally what makes it so sick. It's not like the dude whose ankles he broke with that was some scrub. And the moment is not exactly a separate part of the analysis.
