Yeah, Auburn's offense looks more like a hurry up power wing t from the pistol

It only matters because Auburn fans react when someone calls it finesse. If Auburn fans didn't react, it would stop being a thing. Just like when Arkansas got so bad that people stopped responding to their troll threads. The reduced making them.

Ah. I guess that is true. It never bothered me but I do see it bothers some. Much like the whole barner, etc. meh.

“It's a multiple attack,” Ash said. “They will attack you down hill with powers, counters, down-hill zones and then they can attack the perimeter with outside plays. They've got speed to get to the edge and get around you even if you've got leverage so we have got to do a good job of keeping the ball in front of us, get off blocks and get great pursuit and tackle.”

Ash was asked about the success Arkansas' defensive line, particularly Trey Flowers, had against Auburn in last year's game. Ash downplayed that as far as this year's game is concerned. “Last year is so far away from we are right now,” Ash said. “Auburn is a completely different team. Last spring I looked at Auburn when we were first here and studying SEC offenses. When you see Auburn's offensive line now compared to last year it's not even close. They're not the same team.

“Of all the offenses I've been able to defense the past few years not a lot of people run the true down-hill zone read like they do any more. So it's a unique challenge. “It's a little bit different challenge for our guys they haven't necessarily seen this style of offense this year.”

It sounds like he knows his football. Apt description.

Auburn runs more power out of the spread than anythin

Auburn really doesn't even run a spread in a sense of spreading out the defense. They run misdirection power sets.

Some believe if the offense doesn't huddle, they are running the spread. You won't change their minds. Gus loves nothing more than the D to bunch up in the middle and stack the box. That's when he's going for the throat slit.
