Yeah, this game was a wakeup call. Skenes had 8 strikeouts in 3 innings, but he gave up 2 bombs also, and you got an extra run on an error that should be a routine out.

He's a great pitcher and we're a good team, but we can't just show up and expect everyone to bend over. Got to execute better, and dare I say it- Skenes has to think about getting some ground ball outs, instead of striking everybody out.

LSU has holes to fill, yet. We need to round out the starting rotation, and get 1-2 go-to guys out of the pen ready. And we need some more consistency out of the second half of the lineup.

All of those things are attainable, but it's not a finished product yet.

And the Cocks look damn good, too.
