They are using the AP. LSU doesn't get that #1 in 2003 for the BCS title. That's messed up.

I'm not saying it's groundbreaking or incredible. I'm not sure why you need to be a killjoy. And yes, it is a historical 2 in a row. Lots of firsts and things not done since before WWII. Its importance in the big picture is yet to be determined.
