Bama has averaged 12 wins a year for 6 years now. So yeah, makes sense that the most talented team so far will be the one that struggles to win 8.

This. And the last 3 QBs to start at Bama have all had at least on 12+ win season. The worst record over the last 6 years was 10-3, and that team likely had the most talent.

This team may very well lose 1-3 games, but they're not going 8-4 in the regular season. Anyone who posts this is either A)trolling, B) wishful thinking, or C) both.

We could run a wildcat with Yeldon, Henry, Drake, and Sims in the backfield, Cooper out wide and OJ Howard at TE and be just peachy.

LSU would stomp a mudhole in that arse in this scenario.

It would take the injury bug hitting hard at the few thin positions they have for Bama to lose 4 imo. With that said I don't think 2014 Bama is a NC caliber team. 10-2 due to below average QB play, good but not great OL, lack of an elite NG and an inexperienced secondary.

IMO if Bama can run it well and play great D, they'll be right there. Same with LSU.

Bama is going to go 10-2 (lose to LSU & Auburn) and still
end up in the playoffs. (frick YOU BAMA)!

Did I miss something? I thought Coker was supposed to be the next big thing for bama being that he almost beat out Winston at fsu. What's all the Sims being the starter talk?

Don't see bama losing more than 2 at most. Actually see another pretty boring season for bama with their schedule.

3 games worth watching this year for bama for me. Maybe they lose 2 out of those 3 but would have to collapse to lose 3-4 games against their schedule.

I've already started my prayer vigil for both LSU QBs I'm expecting to see both in the game against Bama

They're gonna need it

Can you answer this for me? You seem to know it all.

Know it all? Nah

I think Coker came in a little bit late as far as learning the full PB, checks all that stuff, audibles etc. I have a feeling we will see a bit of rotation the way Bama did it with AJ and Phillip Sims in AJ's 1st season. He has some mechanics issues tends to sail passes a bit and Sims has supposedly improved dramatically (believe it when I see it) regardless I wouldn't doubt to see Coker as the starter by SEC play and at least a few opportunities for Sims to get in some packages to throw a defense off.

Alabama will struggle to get to 8 wins regardless of "talent" if Sims is your Qb. You know in your heart its true.

People seem to forget we won the West wig John Parker Wilson and won the SEC and NC with Greg McElroy.

Coker almost beat out jameis, yes. But jameis wasnt supposed to be what he turned out to be. Herbstreit, who is sometimes inreliable, said he was at practice the week before last year started an jameis looked eratic and inaccurate. He explained this in the first game when jameis was going ham.
