That's a dumb comparison, Mett cant run or pass like Johnny Football so kick rocks with that, and neither Landry or OBJ compare to Evans

Mett has become a mobile quarterback?

Sad thing is Mett isn't mobile and we dont throw as much and Landy/OBJ are STILL killing it.

Thats cool. Man up on them and get burned. It will happen or double them up and let Hill get rolling.

LSU will get points.

However, its LSU's D that is the X factor here.

While I think shutting down Beckham and Landry will be much easier said than done, to be fair, against aTm Bama also had to account for Manziel's scrambling. Somehow I don't think that will be a concern this Saturday.

Well Mett threw for 289 last year with idiots calling plays and Bama had a better D so yea, I don't think much will be different other than our crappy D.

If you D can learn to tackle and get a turnover or something we have a shot. Outside of that, I cannot see them playing lights out.

BUT, this is a Les Miles coached team....

Bama's pass rush didn't seem to bother Mettenberger last year - 24-35 298 Yards and 0 interceptions. And that Alabama team was #3 in the SEC in sacks (35). This year you have 11 sacks in 8 games. Only MSU has less.

We would prob have more sacks if our first team D stayed on the field for 4 quarters just hard to keep them out there when your blowing peoples doors off

If you play coverage Hill will go off you bring up 8 in box you only double one and the other goes off.

OP is right. It's exactly what OM did and Mett still tried to force the ball down the field. If you don't think Saban is watching OM game tape and is going to put a safety over the top on OBJ's side of the field you are mistaken.

Really? Against ole miss OBJr had 70 yards and Landry had 100+

The number of the passes that go to these 2 are extraordinarily high.. in the off week I'm sure Saban/Smart have come up with a plan to take away the 1st 2 options after the snap...

Good thing we have one of the best RBs in the country

LSU OL will have to hold up longer to get the ball to Mett's chosen 2... he won't have long.

Cause you guys get soooooo much pressure on the QB If you get a ton of pressure you'll be bringing extra bodies.. and that's less people to defend Hill and OBJ/Landry.

I think the only issue in this game is can we stop Alabama on offense with our lackluster D.

Tigertards? How long did it take you to come up with that one?

Yeah,.....that's the ticket. I forgot that 2nd teamers play a different scheme and rules prohibit them from touching the QB.

Bama does get pressure. The stats don't show it because their defense is good. They get off the field. They make teams go 3&out thusly they get less chances to get sacks than defense that give up long drives.

Uh huh....but Bama's run defense (#7 in the nation and #1 in the SEC) being so good and always taking big early leads doesn't force teams to throw either, right?
