I expect the Monday night game to top that though.
If you have the only slot it does seem to give you a boost. Most any CFB game sharing a time slot will see some cannibalization.

I am dead serious. The only ratings I saw were from ABC, NBC, and CBS from 8 to 11 pm. Show me where those ratings mean something more.
Go look at the highest rated games over the last couple of seasons. You will notice a trend.

Are y'all sure? I could have sworn there was a lot of talking about how the ratings weren't going to be great for the Bama/LSU championship game because it was the first one not on basic cable and that it was a rematch between the same conference.
eta: Nevermind looked it up. Bama/Texas was the last ABC broadcast.
I think

The trend is the highest rated teams have the highest rated games. It is not unique to bammer. Auburn had a lot of highly rated TV games in 2010 and 2013

Alabama always gets big ratings.
1/2 of the top rated games in 2014 were Alabama games. 2014
Alabama dominated the 2013 TV ratings 2013
4/10 of the top rated games in 2012 were Alabama games. 2012
4/10 of the top rated games in 2010 were Alabama games 2010
