I don't remember the CS cops being quite this bad when I was there, BUT....I did get an MIP. I was riding shotgun drinking a beer at night...cop said he could see the foam from the beer on my upper lip....seriously??? At night in a car...that's how they role over there at CSPD.

in all my years of living and going down there I only once encountered a level headed cop with a good attitude.
the rest of them were major dickheads to students and older A&M fans alike.
I once watched CSPD arrest a kid b/c he didn't get off his bike to walk it through a crosswalk. That's how petty they are.

Wonder what Pope and Matthews didn't appear for? Parking tickets?
(Even if it was nothing serious, it is really stupid not to appear, and you can't blame the cops for arresting someone who has an arrest warrant, regardless of why the arrest warrant was issued.)

its not really ridiculous, its not like like go after people with petty warrants. These types of arrest fall into the officers laps.

Well, you missed the point on that one. I never stated the cops were to blame here, just that it's asinine to issue warrants based off a traffic/parking violation. Anything you can pay a fine for and not have to go to court to settle should not be an arrestable offense. It's pretty much debtors prison at that point.
