This year we might just see the strongest west division in its history.

Bama and Auburn are loaded. So is LSU and if they produce at QB they will be playoff caliber. Ole Miss can and probably will do some damage, MSU won't drop off too much, A&M has the talent to field a top 15 team and Arkansas is the wild card playing the most physical style of football in the SEC.
I am not shitting on the east either just stating what I think will become a fact.

Do you ever get tired of pretending the East is worth a damn or that Butch is a good coach?

Maybe Tennessee can win more than 3 games in the SEC this year.

I'm not sure we have the talent we need at LBer or CB. I hope I'm wrong.

No. You are not allowed to join the West.

The potential is definitely there....and I think the east is still a year away from turning the corner fully. The East is getting there, but still a little ways away.

He wouldn't want to, they'd never get bowl eligible... They barely did last year with UK and Vandy on the schedule.

They only have four winning seasons in the last decade playing Vandy and Kentucky every year. I don't think they want any part of the West.

Also, they are 2-16 against the West since '08

That's more than UT has won in the past 7 years.

Didn't MSU lose like 17 of their 22 starters?

if the east would have given a good representative to the new years 6 it would have bumped the west teams down a peg in the bowl games and the west would have won more.

but the east isn't good enough for the new years 6

I just don't think the QBs are at a high enough level for this to be true.

I would argue that the SEC west is actually down, in the sense that there doesn't appear to be any truly dominant teams.

That being said, I think this is the most well rounded the division has ever been.

A legitimate argument could be made for just about every team in the SEC west to win the division.

That being said, the QB play in the division doesn't look good enough to elevate it to the status of best ever.

I think Ole Miss is better than they're getting credit for. They should have never been playing TCU in the Bowl game, and I think their shitty end to a good season is driving somewhat of a misconception. Freeze has been recruiting too well to not give them the benefit of the doubt.

I'm just glad they're likely not going to have a QB who's worth a damn.
