Refs like UGA

Great point. Refs could have easily said that Sunseri had the interception on Murray's final drive in the 2012 SEC Championship game but they overruled it. If you really truly believe the SEC or SEC refs are conspiring against your school why on Earth do you stand idly by and allow it to happen? Why is this dude not in Athens right now demanding something happen? Better yet, why on Earth would Richt and McGarity allow it to continue?

From the fanbase that brought us "stiff dew" and "we were 13 seconds away from a national title"

By the way, auburnphan, you are probably the worst addition to this site in the last two years, and that's saying something.

To be fair, stiff dew is a running joke and has been for a year

And how is 13 seconds away an excuse?

Think back to the absurd celebration call against A. J. Green that cost us a game against LSU.

Cost you the game ? LSU ran the kickoff back to the Georgia 40 and Charles Scott scored a td from the 35 and then HE got a personal foul 15 yd penalty for the same thing Tebow did for four years.

I know LSU fans whine, but saying that penalty cost you the game is incorrect.

Not making a stop cost us the game, but the AJ call was still bullshite.

I'm not making any excuses, just talking football here, but don't you think if we kicked off 15 yards closer to midfield that would've altered LSU's return? Sure, you returned it to the 40 because you caught it already with good position. If we kick it out of the endzone and you start from the 20, things are probably a little different.

True, that penalty is not why we lost. We lost because our defense stunk on ice.

However, anybody with reasonable intelligence will realize that it was a major, massively important swing in the game's final outcome. And it's made worse by the fact that it was head scratchingly, mind numbingly bogus.

Why don't you get clue before you question anyone else. I am pretty sure the stiff dew stuff was not serious, and I have certainly never used it as a legimate excuse. Also don't care if you don't like my posting style because the feeling is pretty much mutual

As a UGA fan, I think it's best to call a spade a spade. Richt up until this point has always been a bridesmaid and never a bride.

It's always something.

Good teams don't need excuses because good teams don't have excuses.

I have no issues at all with your posting style. I think you articulate the worthless nonsense from your brain quite well. In fact, I would go as far as to say that it is impressive how well you have learned to express yourself through the written word, given how limited are your abilities to reason.

Penalties/yards lost

Uga 7/44
Sc 7/69

Yep, yall got crucified.

Uga talking about bad calls and league office hate is laughable.
I have not chimed in on this because i understand how shitty it feels to lose a close one but for the love of god, get off the cross and get real.

Can we tack on the 54 yards and a TD lost due to the holding call that cost Gurley his long run?

No, because he would have never gained the 54 without the hold. Just rustling.

Scott's penalty was just as absurd and LSU then had to kickoff from the 15,too.

Should it have been called? Nah, probably not. Just as absurd? Laughable. Keep in mind I already said he shouldn't have been flagged..BUT, he at least did SOMETHING. I believe he raised his hands in the air. Not that that merits a penalty, but at least he DID something. AJ Green, literally, looked into the crowd. Didn't shake his head, hands by his side, didn't dance, literally cast his gaze into the stands. That's bullshite.

By then the damage was essentially done. How much time was left, like 20 seconds? I know this is all moot, but I think it's pretty clear to see, thinking rationally, that the game would have gone much different had LSU gotten the ball back trailing, on their own 20, with a minute left.

remember, too, that all LSU needed was a field goal to re-take the lead.

But even with Georgia having kicked off from the 15 the refs and SEC didn't place the ball at the Georgia 40. Georgia could have stopped Williams inside the LSU side and they darn sure could have tackled Charles Scott from taking it in 35 yards.

Neither the refs nor the SEC placed the ball at the Georgia 5 after Green's penalty.

I know...I've already said I don't blame the refs for the loss. Although there is no justification whatsoever for that penalty.

The fact is, it's a completely different game if it's a touchback and LSU starts with no momentum at their 20 as opposed to starting at their 40. That's just common sense. For all we know Scott could have taken the next handoff for 60. They could've bled the clock and kicked a FG. We obviously still could have lost. But our chances would have been much, much greater at hanging on had that penalty not been called.
