They're real but they are encouraged (and maybe even subsidized) to stay in character. They have to have a separate call in number too--no way they'd get in otherwise.
I liked some of them from before . .Shane from Centerpoint (RIP), Bobby from Homewood . . still like I-man and a few of the others.
But how Jim from Tuscaloosa remains one of his favorites blows me away. He absolutely sucks. And Pawl lets him ramble on forever.

Tammy's for real. She just gets a lot of air time. The Finebaum Show can be funny when it's not taken too seriously.

There is no way that rant she had yesterday was fake and if it was, she needs a fricking Academy Award. That may have been her best one ever. Even Pawl was speechless and had to cut to a break to keep from losing it.
