Played basketball for Auburn around 1990, and he was a dirty bastard. I remember him punching Shaq in the balls repeatedly, on television. Hack-a-Shaq indeed.

They were chasing down a loose basketball, and Person got to it first right at the baseline, with Shaq immediately behind him and blocking him from backing up. The TV camera was in front of him. He started swinging his arm back into Shaq's crotch a few times. Think he won that fight.

I'm working from memory of course, but there was no foul called (another reason I remember this) and play continued, so apparently Shaq didn't think much of it.
