We don't have a backup QB either, so yes, we have a bad offense, without the personnel we need to run what the coaches want.
But I rather have a great defense, and a good coach than Helen.

Your team is fine. You will win a lot of games. Last year you had one bad game (That I can think of) where you turned the ball over a lot. It just happened to be against us. This year you have had one bad game...it just happened to be against Miami. If you can protect the ball you will win most if not all of the rest of your games. Your defense is that good.

And you still lost. It's going to take more than one good game out of Mettenberger. He will have to step up in every game. And, he might just do it. We don't know yet. You certainly don't play against too many good defenses this year. Florida and Alabama. The lack of defenses seems poised to make this your year.

This is so wrong. Muschamp is not as conservative as Saban. Hell, if Muschamp WAS as conservative as you think he is, Florida would have beat Miami, because no way would he have allowed Driskel to throw it on 3rd and 10 in the RZ and UF would have kicked a FG instead of going for 4th down.
In essence, it was the aggressive play calling in that Miami game that cost UF the game.
Why don't people see that?

Don't forget the 2005 USC squad, "the GOAT Team" was going for a threepeat and lost to Texas in the title game. It's almost guaranteed they're going to frick up somehow.

Georgia is far from winning it. If we lose to LSU and Florida it goes to the winner of the UF/USCe game. If we beat LSU it's pretty much ours because I don't see Florida winning out.

Nope, in fact it is a very real possibility. beat us and South Carolina, and you are in. We all know our game could go either way, and South Carolina, while very good, is flawed right now.

I think it is because fans LOVE aggressive football. But, as a whole it is conservative football that wins games. Run the ball and play great defense will win more times than throwing the ball all over the field ala Oregon.
Florida MIGHT be able to pull it all off. But they need to call plays within their offensive limitations. Know your limitations and stay within them. Know your strengthe and play to them.
Florida=great defense and solid running game. Florida needs to grind the ball and allow their defense to create turnovers.
Here I am a Georgia fan acting like WE know how to play within our limitations!
We have gotten better, though!
