Pretty easy to see where it stems from:

1. Searching for any sort of 'victory' over Bama no matter how asinine
2. Lasting insecurity over having the biggest bust in NFL history

I just read the article about 30 minutes ago about the Canadian football league then I got to thinking so I decided to ask people would know Alabama fans. I'm not searching for any kind a moral victory or I would've said something about an LSU player it was a simple answer to the questions all I wanted

IMO "bust" is used too loosely around here. But TR definitely fits the bill

It absolutely is. Mark Ingram is a pro bowl running back who has been in the league for 6 years and he is still the starting RB for the Saints and he is called a bust

Trent

Now here’s the fun part

Trent rookie YPC 3.6
LF7 career YPC 3.5

InB4 Browns had a better roster

I remember watching him and it was thought by many he was better than Mark Ingram Watching a lot of Alabama games

TR started his career fairly promisingly - he had nearly 1000 yards his rookie season rushing. He also had 51 receptions for over 360 yards in the air. He was the #2 receiver in receptions, and the #1 scorer on the Browns. It looked like he might work out well

At first it was assumed that some of his troubles the following season was, well, because he was on the Browns. Then after 2 games into the next season he was traded to Indy. Those were two pretty good teams (won their division) and TR never looked better than "average", and usually a bit below that. He'd have the occasional game where it looked like he might be breaking out, but never panned out.

Trust me, seeing him in college, I would have sworn he would be the best RB that came out of Alabama during the Saban run. His ankle breaker against OM is still an amazing play. No idea if his issue was physical or mental, but he certainly was a bust.

The one that crushed LSU's spirit.

I'll leave it to you to narrow down that list.

I feel just like there are system QB's he was a system RB. He didnt have to make decisions on his path and with the disparity in CFB, his faults were hidden.

That's tough, but as a lifelong LSU fan no play hurt worse than the Yeldon screen pass. That was our revenge game and we outplayed you almost the whole way. THAT game is the one that truly broke the back of the Les Miles era.

In case you wanted to see it again:

Here is a better breakdown of the play too:

Let's revisit these numbers at the end of the year instead of a mere 3 games in.

I never got why Trent wasn't the next great back. He had size, speed, and ability. Just makes no sense.

Unfortunately for you swampbillies, Bama's players' stats only count while they're playing for Bama.

In that regard, Trent had an insanely successful career with a couple of BCS Championship rings and other accolades.

No vision. In fact I'm pretty sure he went blind.
