Folks don't care, they either like JFF or don't and will form their opinion based around that. Just win baby and stay out of jail and all will be good.
You can't stop the hatin' though and you shouldn't try. Johnny definitely doesn't care nor should he. He's no angel and he also isn't the worst guy to play CFB (or even win the Heisman). Just let it go.

He should be treated fairly on the field.
There have been rapists, felons, drug addicts you name it play this game. Once on the field they get a fair game.
Johnny did the hand signs all last year - now other players are doing it - sorry but I told you his style would catch on.
They cant just start calling stuff on Johhny that he did last year and other players do this year. That is insane.
The thing with Tebow - what happens off the field does not effect the refs. Do you think the had a conference and said "well had was hassled" we will let this go". No they probably had no idea.
They can't try to effect Johhny's play by hitting him with penalties that are not penalties and were not penalties last year.
