This is a pretty shocking stat from Jordan Rogers twitter. Bryce Young is the only SEC QB

who starts regularly without a completion that's traveled 15 air yards. I get that Bama's WRs aren't as good, but that's really shocking.

He was tenth in the country in the stat last year.

Jameson was special. jordan rogers crazy stat of the day

He gets Earle and Harrell back soon. Hopefully their speed opens it up again.

Bama's big transfer receiver was losing snaps last season to a freshman 2 star at Georgia and may have seen the writing on the wall.

Yep. That Louisville transfer will open it up. There’s no speed right now and the defenses are not respecting them.

I looked up air yards and it states that it's the amount of yards the ball travels in the air before the WR catches it.

If that's the case, the TD pass vs. TX was more than 15 yards.

I assume they are judging by LOS and maybe not counting yards deep in the EZ even.

Of course a pass from the pocket to the sidelines will travel more actual air yards than the yard markers on the field as well.

I've been familiar with the term playing fantasy football, but not exactly sure how it's measured.

Receivers and O-Line are just ok across the board. Then it’s all exasperated by unimaginative scheme and playcalling

Bill
O
Brien

Until the 4th quarter it looked like a pop Warner offense.

He’s right there with Major Applewhite and Nussmeier for worst OC of the Saban era.

His gameplan in the SECCG was such an abnormality it was like he stole a gameplan from Kiffin or Sark.

I was thinking exacerbated but exasperated works too…

There's only one reason for this and it's name is Bill O'Brien. He's got to go.

Bond, Law and some of the freshmen are track guys. They dropped some passes but they can run with anyone including Worthy. They just weren’t being used downfield until the 4th quarter from what I can tell.

Holden, Brooks and Burton are the guys who I have yet to see create separation. With that group you basically have 3 possession guys which is not at all ideal.

For context here is PFFs data on deep passes (greater than 20 yards).
