LSU posters don't start threads that at face value look like statistical analysis threads but in reality are clearly designed to be areas where LSU players don't succeed
I'm not even butthurt, because half the time it's clever and I have a mild appreciation for the innovativeness and attempt at being subtle. But it's still painfully obvious

Nailed it. You have to keep in mind, this is not real life. 99% of posters on here are probably good folk. Most things said on here are in jest and meant to "rustle the jimmies" of the posters who have a tendency to melt because it's funny.

This is my first post in over a month. I realized I was looking forward to reading the bad that was out there, rather than what good I could find. So, I fasted on internet sites for a month, and it opened up (for me anyway) more communication/ a better relationship with God.
Much of the internet these days does concern hate. Some sites are better, some are worse. Many of the news sites are bad. Al.com is the worst I have seen. I still see much of the hate (from the trolls) here, but I have actually read some decent stuff here as well over the past few days.
Taking a break from it is a good thing. More should try it.

I agree sir. Some of these comments are off the charts most of the time.

Fewer emotional responses are a good idea.
The problem with this idea is that LSU football fans are way too sensitive and defensive, whenever somebody posts something that the LSU fan views as unpleasant. If you aren't pumping sunshine for LSU football, you are RA'd as a troll by a handful of LSU football fans. I disagree with that approach.
If somebody posts: "Your coach is a nice guy but not a great football coach and your team quits often late in games." A proper response doesn't involve cussing, insulting name calling and an RA to accuse somebody of trolling. Simply address what's put forth.
If somebody bashes Coach Bielema or Coach Miles, the Hog fan and the LSU fan should not take this as a personal attack on them -- the Hog or LSU fan.
If a huge man in his early twenties walks into your shop in Baton Rouge and declares: "Roll Tide. The Tide owns the Tigers!" There's no need to respond with something like "Oh, yeah? Well, Deez Nutz own your Momma." No need for that kind of emotional response", just say, "oh, congrats on that, I'm sure -- you do realize that this is February, right?"

I only frequent this board if I'm planning to stir some shite up or laugh at the shite that's already been stirred up.
