Pretty good summary. The biggest thing for me was that the bottom 8 teams in the conference went 0-fer against the top 6. Not a single upset from Tenn, Ole Miss, Miss St, Mizz, Auburn, UK, Vandy, or Ark.
I would also say that this year more than others the schedule factor weighed in very heavy in who made it to Atlanta. Not a whine, but fact. I think the top 6 in the conference were all pretty even (i.e. they could all very easily beat each other and did). Last year Alabama and LSU were head and shoulders above everyone else. By no choice of their own the two this year that played the fewest of the top 6 are playing in Atlanta. Is what it is. The schedule should turn at some point.
I also feel bad for Florida. Those guys had a really good year and kicked the ball around 6 times in one game and that's it. Hands down the best resume of any team in college football this year.

I agree with everything but this. Dooley obviously was raised by his parents to have great character which he has but that does not necessarily make a great coach. His only experience as a HC was at LA Tech where he had a losing record. Frankly his resume looks a lot like Chizik's before he was hired by Auburn and certainly didn't warrant a multi-million dollar contract at Tennessee. LA Tech actually looks a lot better 3 years after Dooley left their program. Honestly UT should have looked elsewhere and Dooley should have stayed at LA Tech. Had he improved them the way Sonny Dykes has, then might have been ready to take on the challenge of a bigger program. As is, Dooley is rich but has a shitty resume; needless to say I don't feel sorry for him as he is set for life financially. He'll probably land on his feet somewhere but not at another major program any time soon. I see potential for Dooley to be a good HC maybe even at Mark Richt's level but I don't perceive greatness.

Solid post. Expect to get flame for it because it is solid, however

Solid post, agree with it all. I'd also say Franklin is a great coach, 3 trips to bowl games for vandy...Not bad at all.

Bama not as dominant as last year? Have you seen the scores? The only difference is we didn't play johnny football a week after LSU. Don't agree with the dominance statement. We will find out in final 2.

Come on dude. Your team is nowhere as good as last year. Sorry. You had 2 tough games this year, lost one and got outplayed in the other. It's okay. Your team was really good last year and you are good this year. Not nearly as complete though. You had 67 players taken in the first round last year.

No, they aren't. I don't think last year's Bama team loses to TAMU to be honest. Just as he said, both LSU and Bama's teams from last year are better than anything we've seen this year.

5. Dooley.. is an immature clown. He doesn't have what it takes on this level. He might could be effective on some level as a coach, maybe a pretty good assistant, but a Head Football Coach he is not.

Dooley was a failure from the start. You hire a losing coach, you lose. SEC Coaching 101
Proof of him being a "great coach" does not exist.
