That's what they don't seem to get. After we came onto the national scene as a football power in the mid 1920's, excellence and championships have been the norm.

Us being mediocre or bad is the temporary aberration.

Yep. So many of them leap to outrageous conclusions based on a single outcome.

Another example: In Sept when Texas beat Notre Dame, they were spewing "Texas is back!" Reality: At end of season both teams found circling the drain.
