I don’t like it, and it’s less than ideal, but the plan they rolled out today has ZERO chance of ever working. It’s pointless to even try under those guidelines.

Is there anyone with a little bit of brain activity in a position of influence here?

They would be playing more games in a year than the NFL.

It's not even remotely an option.

You may be right. If that’s the case, then it’s just not happening

If they move to the spring, with the draft in April. I'd bet the majority of 1st rounders would not play.

Just go with the high school jamboree concept. 4 teams in one location round robin. Play one a month to give everybody time to quarantine after each one.

Supposedly the plan would be to push back the start of the 2021 season and get back to labor day weekend kickoff in 2022.

you would lose all guys projected to go in the first 3 rounds. they wouldnt risk playing

you would also lose guys who didnt want to risk injury in a declaration year even without the established draft status

it would be a wash if you had to wait that long

I would say the most you could delay the year would be early October...then the season is cancelled altogether

I think it would be a lot more than that. Players aren't going to want to risk injury and at the same time they will want to start getting ready for the combine.

And the NFL has already said they will not change the draft schedule, which starts months before the actual draft itself.

NFL teams will hate not having a chance to interview players at the combine and also they wouldn't get to perform physicals on the prospects. That's on top of not being able to evaluate them on all of the underwear Olympic events.

Or just play the damn games and quit being SJW pussies. These are healthy athletic young men. People this age are either asymptomatic or have very mild symptoms. I mean for crying out loud there's more school age children dying from the regular flu than from Covid-19. To date only 31 school age children have died from Covid-19. Meanwhile, over 1800 children died from Swine Flu in 2009 during the Obama Administration and NO schools were closed.

Actually, a pretty good idea. Of course, it makes
too much sense for the NCAA
