I won't mention any names, but there are some respectable Tide fans on this board that have come out against other Tide fans for throwing out the injury excuses in the NC game ...and to them, I tip my hat and say that they have my full blown respect! You, on the other hand, who is still hanging on to that, I simply say... 'Whaaa' Grow a sack and accept defeat like a man.
As for the topic of who can beat UGA this season, I will say that the all of the talk about Saban's demise is waaaay premature IMHO. I think Bama will come out with a mountain-size chip on their shoulders and will be a beast this season. It would not surprise me if Bama meets us in the SECCG and it will be another epic battle.
UGA lost 15 players to the NFL in 2021 and then won a NC the next year. We return 7 starters on both O and D this season. We will be formidable.
But Bama has to get by LSU, who returns a ton of talent and are smelling blood after taking down the Tide in BK's first season. It will be a fun year.

If Bama had made it to Atlanta last year it would have been two straight and the narrative would be the opposite. It's not our fault Alabama under performed last season. But go ahead and act like you have some magical hold over us.

Eh, Saban has won with mediocre QBs before. If they have poor QB play, a lot will depend on the rest of the team and if they can find a way to be excellent in certain areas,

We beat you two yrs ago...beat the dog shite out of you in SEC Champ game...we all know how "luck" played a part in the Natty game (took our two best receivers being out--1 missed entire full game --for you to win..if you've forgotten watch the rerun ) You idiots have beaten us ONE TIME since '07 douchebag...ONCE..the "luck" resided with y'all so don't preach "luck" to someone who obviously just feels like spouting off. While I think on paper Bama has the talent to be at the top, the one thing that I can't get over is that they appeared to need the draft guys to play in the bowl game. Even with a top class coming in this year, that throws up plenty of red flags for me. Speaking of red flags, the other big one is no team that has recruited like Bama has in the past 5 years should be as dependent on the transfer portal as they are. It just speaks of either bad buy -in from the players or poor development on the staff.
I know they will certainly be motivated to improve, but the feel of invincibility is gone. With top athletes that have always been good enough, they rarely doubt their own ability...until they get punched in the mouth and suddenly their best wasn't good enough. Some work back from that mentally; others don't.

In my post above about the respectable Tide fans...well, you're NOT one of them. There are some Tide fans who have a ball sack who is man/woman enough to stop with the pathetic excuse making and admit you got beat by a better team. When we lost to the Tide in the SECCG, we had injuries too, but I haven't heard any UGA fans make excuses. If I would have, I would have chastised them and told them to grow up and quit with the pacifier-sucking excuses. So to you, take your toys and go to your room, come back when you grow up like some other Tide fans on here, then you can take a seat at the adult table.

That style of offense doesn't play well against a Kirby defense.
It is playing into our strength.
It would take a meltdown of our special teams and several turnovers to make a game of it with Michigan.
