I saw a lot more team work today, especially with Randle down. I think they're getting it. Showboating is okay if you're up by 30 but definitely not when you're up by only 3.

Was it me or did the twins look more comfortable drIving it to the hoop when knowing in second half that randle wasn't down there & they were the clear offensive leaders? You hope that they take that & learn to play together including with randle rather than it just being a "ok this is our time" kinda thing. I think it will be more the former and won't be cause for concern but with a young team like this it's still something to watch out for.

Playing the 2nd half without Randle and still pulling out a win is huge though.

I'm most impressed with this. They could've folded pretty easy with Randle out because he was the motor in the 1st.

Andrew Harrison really turned a corner today at the point. That's huge for us. He was a lot more heady then he has been.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. Not sure. They were clearly more aggressive today, not sure if it was the Randle absence or just beginning to mature into a team. Will see what happens as the season progresses I guess.

They played pretty well in the 1st so I don't think that's necessarily the case.

Thanks. Tough road game in Raleigh and my expectations are not high as this is our first true road game & a long way from home in a good arena to boot. With us also being pretty young aside from our Big 3 I think this one would be gravy for the sec today but hope we pull it out.

I don't think it had anything to do with Randle. They have just been getting better. Both got to the rim at ease the last couple of games, including UNC, with Randle on the floor.

I think one huge difference is that I think Dakari Johnson sets the best screens on the team. I swear every time he set a screen tonight a UK guard got to the rim.

He absolutely leveled Russ Smith on a screen. And his kick out to the top of the key to Young was a thing of beauty (something he's done better than Randle as well).

Randle's drive and kick to James Young when he got fouled shooting a 3 needs to happen more often

It's really about settling into roles.

Hawkins did that fabulously today.

He's right. If this team can figure it out, get better with team play and FT shooting, it should be lights out.
