Still, winning in Death Valley at night under Les Miles has been probably the most difficult task in college football for the last decade.

It's impressive, but it's more impressive because State hasn't done anything like it since Sherrill was coaching.

If this was Alabama or Auburn and we had no idea about LSU's QB play (which we now have confirmed is awful), we'd come out of this saying "Good win, but this just confirms LSU isn't nearly as good this year". The fact that it is State makes it a bigger deal because its OMG STATE BEAT LSU, I think.

Still a very good win, especially with the whole mental block for State, but I wouldn't put it on a pedestal just yet.

It's impressive to me because of how they did it. LSU was literally never in that game until the very last play which was a hail mary because State went full retard for about five minutes. MSU came out and dominated a team with more raw talent on the road.

Agree - the way State played was impressive. They are definitely in the discussion.

The only clear thing is how fricking ridiculous the division is. No one is coming out undefeated

Agreed, I can see the West winner being 6-2 easily.

It appears there may be several that can complete. My team however, is not one of them.

You pretenders, and LSU, may go now.

Nice win last night. If Ole Miss is a pretender who stomped Vandy 41-3, then what does that make you guys this year?

Between A&M and UA. But you are right not that clear between them.

The only way a 2 loss SEC champ gets in is if it's bama.

This is said every year but it rarely comes to pass.

Bama should be favored. Most balanced team IMO.

State is going to beat A&M in Starkville. It's Bulldog Bash and our first home SEC game after a big win against LSU. Our guys will be ready to play and you don't have the defense to stop our offense. We will get pressure on Kenny Hill to get enough stops to win. It'll be a high scoring game though

It's absurd to me that this post is somehow not absurd. It is possible, and any West team can take down another (maybe save Arkansas, but I'm not willing to go all the way on that one).

Bama "could" be the best but IMO it's AU or a&m. I just don't see bama's defense stopping them from scoring or bama's offense hanging with either team In a shootout.

This will all be determined but that's my opinion on it as of right now. UF was injured last year but horrible , Kentucky is a little Better but the it took UF multiple OTs to beat them. Now bama fans think they destroyed some power team and they simply didn't beat anybody special.

Bo, Dak, Trill and Nick Marshall have all looked better. To think otherwise is delusional.

Whoever it is, they're going to have to use all of the tiebreakers to figure it out.

You won't get pressure on Trill. Our offensive line is too good.

Than Blake Sims? We serious right now? Marshall and Bo?

Bo Wallace still hasn't played a competent defense and last time I checked the first half against Boise still counts, right?

I dunno how good Blake will be over the season, but he's at the very least been just as impressive as Wallace and Marshall.

I'll quote myself from another thread:

quote:

[on tRant,] it's a known fact that people will twist the very fabric of reality itself to avoid giving credit to any aspect of a team they dislike.

Fawx is the very archetype of this phenomenon. He seems to subscribe to the philosophy that a good debate is predicated on your ability to make others believe your lies.

Well, that and virtually the only thing he does on here is troll.
