Are they different? Ole Miss just seems to pay more.

There are different ways of cheating. A smart person would do it slow. Start with a QB and a couple play makers that have some connection to your school. After that slowly ramp it up over time.

Nope. Not Ole Miss. Dumpster fire to top 5 recruiting over night. With guys from all over that have zero connection to the school.

There is also the Art Briles way. I'd take Freeze's way over that.

The Bill Snyder way is just a cheaper version of the Hayden Fry way.

Building a program honestly while openly lobbying for paying players.

Dan Mullen way still offered Cam Newton's dad 250k? Same shite going on there in Mississippi. Both programs should be punished.

Dan Mullen has already gotten his program on probation for paying recruits and was in an open negotiation with Cam.

Ole miss pays better players. Just in case we get probation here, how is it? I mean is it embarrassing, painful? From your recent experience getting caught enticing players and getting put on probation, how bad would you say it is?

Iowa probably has more resources than Kansas State (comparing '79 Iowa to '89 KSU). They actually had some success prior to Fry arriving from North Texas State. Bill Synder took over the worst program in the country. They were legitimately going to drop football.

I doubt they were about to drop football, it was a different world back then, but for 2 decades before Fry took over Iowa was basically what Kansas football is today. Fry came in and won Big Ten champions, went to Rose Bowls, got IOWA ranked #1, had Heisman finalists and the most prolific offense of the 80's. Thats one reason why Iowa hasn't pulled the trigger on firing Kirk Ferentz yet. The old money boosters remember what Iowa was before Fry and are willing to accept a bunch of mediocre to bad seasons for one BCS bowl a decade because they're scared to go back.

Snyder was Fry's OC at Iowa for 10 years, where do you think he learned to build crappy Midwestern programs?
