le offense to fit Randall Mackey and very possibly Barry Brunetti after him. Nothing is official yet but that is the word on the screets.

Well I wasn't gonna say anything, but that is the same thing my friend who is a trainer for Ole Miss told me. He said Nutt has already committed to that offense and it won't be changing. He has been wrong before though.

So wait for Masoli to leave to implement it?

MSU is a QB graveyard. Careful there.

We already implemented it this year.

Mackey was supposedly the best QB on the roster during camp...his speech impediment + being new out of JUCO was reason enough for a redshirt. I think he'll be legit. The question is, will his WRs step up?

elisha, this is different. the offense being discussed is much faster pace and will involve all the sideline tricks Oregon uses and such. Nutt will change the pace of the offense for Mackey's benefit.

nutt actually invented the oregon o and the play card posters.

What sideline tricks do you speak of? Bubble screens?
We honestly don't run that many different plays.

I've seen Mackey play, and he is an absolute stud. I really wish we had offered, but he had grade problems.
I actually think this is an excellent move by Nutt.

wildrebeltime insists that nutt's a genius for keeping the qb under center. i'm not sure if he/she would be able to handle this.

i meant the signage on the sideline that you guys use. not the plays so much.
i expect Jeff Scott will be a HUGE benefactor of this new offense.

i agree. i'm impressed that he's going to do what it takes to fit the talent he has at hand. he isn't as stubborn as the arkansas fans make him out to be.

you know nutt will frick this up somehow
he called this offense brotha

nah, i really think their offense has potential for next season.
what will make or break things is Tyrone Nix and all the young guys there on defense.

Malazahn's signage to call out formations was considered too high school for Nutt back in 2006, I guess it is a good thing he kept copies of Gus' playbook....
