Not really. Saban has always like balance and we've been balanced for a few years now. In fact it's eerie how close the pass/run ratio has been.

It wasn't forced. Saban wasn't thinking FG at that point. He wanted a TD because he thought he could hold LSU out of the end zone. Look at the times LSU got close and couldn't punch it in. They got down to the 2 in regulation and the 7 in OT.

I would have played a run on first even if it didn't get positive yardage and tried to keep the ball in the middle of the field in case I needed a FG as a plan B. But I don't get to make 4 mil for making the calls.

Given what had transpired in that game, there's no way Saban was going to play to set up even a short field goal, on those overtime set of downs. He only allowed that poor fricker to kick when he did then out of pure and total desperation.

So by your logic Okie State could lose to Oklahoma, Va Tech could lose again, Stanford could lose to Notre Dame and Alabama STILL doesn't deserve to be #2 because it lost to #1 by a field goal in OT? Who the f### are you going to put in the BCS title game against LSU then? Let me guess....Houston. After all, they did win the always brutal Conference USA.

look at you have to assign all these losses to other teams to try and sound credible.

Read this as, sure it isn't fair and doesn't make sense, but it is Bama so the unfairness is excused in this one instance.

Quoted for truth.

Everyone realizes that a rematch doesn't make sense. LSU already beat Alabama, in their house, and likely will have to play an additional game while Alabama sits at home. Why should Alabama go in this scenario? The game has already been played. We know who the better team is. If the shoe was on the other foot, Alabama fans would throw a fit -- similar to the "everyone gets bye weeks before they play us" fiasco. You hate when life is unfair, unless it works to your advantage.
