See, it's amazing how often you hear this from actual experiences rather than forum trolls just wanting to create negative perception.

as far as the other comments... some people know how to win and are used to it, some aren't. among the ones that aren't used to it there's a split between the ones that can handle it and the ones that can't.

Lol! I was born in Alabama and only living in Mississippi because of a job transfer with the army. since we don't know each other, I'll call you a bandwagon fan because that makes sense. Have fun On your bandwagon, bandwagon fan. Be sure to remember where you put your houndstooth hat.

If you were born in Alabama then that's cool. For every one real fan like you we have 10 from right here that love Al, Aub and LSU and I expect alot of them to jump ship soon.

I have never experienced so many rude people in one place, and I've even been to Tuscaloosa wearing orange and blue. I was called a "Sorry son of a bitch" numerous times, people were waving cowbells in my face, giving me the finger and laughing at me when Auburn lost

I felt the same way in Auburn a couple weeks ago. Sub a pompom for the cowbell and we had the same experience. I pushed a kid into the bushes for shaking his pompom in my face by that Mcdonalds. Every fan base has trash. Starkville is one of the worst though. I remember attending a baseball series there when I was a kid and we were harassed non stop by adult State fans. That sticks with you when you are a kid.

They don't know how to handle success. All they've ever wanted their whole lives is for somebody besides State fans to respect Mississippi State and now they don't know what to do with themselves so they act out like children. It's sad, really.

You don't know how to handle failure but you better adjust fast.

You are such a shitty loser

Did you even go to the game or are you judging an entire fanbase off one person's posts?

I'm sure all those things happened. This is usually the case when a fanbase doesn't know how to handle success and are taking out decades of frustration when they have the chance.

However, you look like a pud for coming here to cry about it.

Dude, this happens in lovely Auburn too. Most fans I met two weeks ago were fantastic. But, like every other away game I have been too, some were assholes. Multiple f-bombs, middle fingers, pom-poms stuck in my face, etc.

Yeah if you can't handle drunk football fans being obnoxious, you shouldn't go to away games. Your pussy lips can't be damaged on your own couch.

SO many people are guilty of this. I even think it silly to judge an entire fan base off of one really bad experience. There are a lot of factors that are involved with your experience. When you show up... where you park. Where everyone else is parking. What area you are seated in. The texture of the actual game. And sure, yes... the fan base itself does change from one to another a bit. A lot of it does have to do with their history of success or recent success or failures. etc.

The same reason the news is always negative. People read into things for drama and negativity because they enjoy feeling above/better than another fan base.

You know. All of this applies to everyone except Auburn. They're all consciously evil or the wool is pulled over their eyes. (j/k)... but for serious. /cough

what's it like being a grown man cheering "GO COCKS?" Nevermind, you're probably not cheering that much this season anyways.

Not this game. But I was in Starkville in 2012 (I've handled failure) and I know plenty of State fans. They have a good sized fan base in Birmingham, probably a very very distant third to Bama and Auburn. Their fans are the scum of the earth.

There is far less gloating and dick shaking going on here since we won. Had Auburn pulled the game out (lol) this place would be slammed with shitty threads from fans that know how to win..

What I do not have to be proud of is this explosion of an arrogant fanbase.

what in the world were you expecting? every damn fan base I know has a lot of arrogant fans when they are winning. never seen an exception.

cut the state fans some slack; they are new at this arrogance thing and probably weren't as creative as, say, the arrogant auburn fans. at least they don't go home and make up stories like aubies do. it's like creative writing is a big course at auburn.

besides, no piss balloon, no port-a-potty overturning, no screaming at babies and Grammies; they need to learn a lot.

OH GOD YOU'RE SO MEAN. I'm going to complain about you on a message board.

"Auburn fans are terrible people. I had the WORST experience with one on an anonymous message board. He said mean things about me and my team!"
