Why is that? I know I am going to catch hell for defending them but I have noticed an unfair pattern here with these guys.

They bring it on themselves. B/w them and hogs you have the preseason SEC East and West winners each year. At least in their fans' minds.

Because people have gotten use to the idea of Tennessee being irrelevant and Tennessee rising back to relevance makes people insecure and threatens their perceptions of hierarchy in the SEC.
