The transfer portal sucks

I know alot of y'all have had to deal with it while it's not been a big deal to Bama fans til now, but it just makes being a fan hard.
Constant trades are reason I stopped following pro ball towards the end of the 90s.
Not that I blame the players for doing what's best for them, but it's hard to be a fan when you invest in players just to see them swap teams left and right.
Like Jordan was a Bull and always a Bull. Marino was a Dolphin and always a Dolphin. Montana a 49er, Ewing a Knick, Elway a Bronco... yeah guys might change when they got older, etc. But I just miss those years where you could be a fan of a team and really follow the players cause you knew they'd be back every year.
Now college is even worse.

The portal and NIL deals have definitely changed the game. Hard to see a lot of positives so far.

It does but it may very well be DeBoer’s saving grace to field a competitive team in the short term.

WR Shazz Preston going to Tulane was a stupid move. Deboer is bringing in one of the most dynamic offenses focused on WR passing. No way Preston benefits his NFL more at Tulane than Bama. Bama will have a real QB next year because there is no way Milroe will still be starting.

Yes, the program got in that game, but the fans have always hated unlimited transfers. A common troll on here was that unlimited transfers has negated Saban’s advantages.

Tulane will have a former 4 or 5 star QB from Oregon. That guy has as much potential as any QB on the Bama roster.
