What is Alabama's signature win? West Virginia? Alabama will have their chance over the next few weeks; however, to this point, Alabama has no signature win either.

Notre Dame's SOS is lower than Alabama's in every computer ranking system. And yea, West Virginia (at a neutral site) is a pretty solid win. It isn't Michigan State at home (I guess), but it's pretty solid.

Even with that, this isn't about Alabama. It's about Notre Dame not deserving to be mentioned in the same breath with teams like Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, etc becaue their wins are putrid.

I say the committee shouldnt be releasing a ranking. It's stupid. Just let them pick the 4 at the end of the season

I disagree. This gives us an early look at the thought process and we can track their rankings to make sure they stay consistent with their reasonings behind rankings. Much rather this than get to the end of the year and we see a top 4 with a bunch of national powers for $$$$. Then they could have a lot more room for the excuses as to why they liked team A more than team B. They would be held more accountable.

I'm going to laugh when the same people who loved Sagarin in 2011 because it showed that OSU had beaten 7 "Top 40" teams will ignore it when the same is true for Alabama/Auburn/Ole Miss this season.

Alabama, for instance, has wins over 15, 25, 26, 31, 36.

Now knowing what I do about all but 1 of those teams am I impressed by that? No, but I wasn't impressed by OSU beating 8-5 Mizzou, 7-6 Texas A&M, 8-5 Texas, etc.

Conference Championship is one of their main criteria. If they start putting out their ranking now, people gonna go ape shite when UGA jumps from 12th to into the playoffs after beating a 11-1 Alabama in the SECCG
