Its true. The Alabama name carries a lot of weight around the world. Just having that historic logo on your uni creates a huge target on your back. This has prevented Bama basketball from getting to the tourney more often because teams always expect the best when they play Alabama in any sport.

If Avery is gonna get this team to the tourney, he needs to first realize that teams will never overlook him and that he has to play like a champion.

Thank you for your well reasoned post. Too bad it is utter and complete nonsense.

Oh boy. And alter. And Avery can't play like a champion for Alabama. And so much more. Just all around dumb and alter-ish.

It doesn't help that every Bama basketball hiring search has started with: "How can the coach help the football team be better?" The right answer, of course, is be the fall guy when the NCAA comes investigating.

No it doesn't , Bama fans do not care about basketball, baseball, or the NFL for that matter.

It's true. We couldn't convert on 1st and goal to win v Vandy last year because John Wall and Anthony Davis are fricking beasts.

Same with UT. Our football and basketball teams have endured some rough patches caused mainly by the giant Pat Summitt created as UT's women's basketball coach.

You've obviously never traveled...unless your definition of world is Tuscaloosa to Baton Rouge.

No one watching Soccer in Europe or Africa or Cricket and Rugby and F1 cares or knows about Bama.

Only international students and Olympians would know anything about their preferred school and the top 5 school favorites in rankings and attendance and international applications is Southern Cal, UCLA, Michigan, Columbia and NYU.

Not really company a regional non-Olympic school like Bama can hang with when it comes to world class and World renowned universities.
