Southwest Conference - former members (Power 5 schools in BOLD) :
Arkansas (1915–1991) : Beat Texas 7-31
Baylor (1915–1996) : Bowl game against Michigan State on January 1st
Houston (1972–1996) : Bowl game vs Pittsburgh on January 2nd
Oklahoma (1915–1919) : Lost to Clemson 6-40
Oklahoma A&M (1915–1925) {Currently Oklahoma State} : Bowl game against Washington on January 2nd
Phillips (1920) : Football program folded in 1933
Rice (1915–1917 provisional, 1918–1996) : Beat Fresno State 30-6
SMU (1918–1996) : No Bowl, finished 1-11
Southwestern (1915–1916) : Discontinued football in 1951, and reborn in 2013 as D III
Texas (1915–1996) : Lost to Arkansas 7-31
Texas A&M (1915–1996) : Beat West Virginia 45-37
TCU (1923–1996) : Beat Ole Miss 42-3
Texas Tech (1956–1996) : No Bowl, finished 4-8

Nobody counts OU, OSU or Phillips. Before wikipedia, nobody even knew they were ever in the SWC.

Haters gonna hate. We're used to it in the SWC.

Maybe we should count Phillips. They're undefeated in football since 1933. That's solid.

I believe the entire SWC was on probation except for Arkansas and Rice. You would be 1-0 in meaningless bowl games ( Arkansas played Texas).

Only Conference to have a regular season game decide the National Championship.
