First of all, after 4 weeks of the season I strongly feel all the talk about the SEC being overrated or maybe the 3rd, 4th or 5th Best Power 5 conference to be greatly overstated and not realistic.
Ill start with the Top 10 teams in the polls, Clemson, Oklahoma, Penn State, USC, Michigan, TCU, Ohio State could not come into the SEC, play a full conference schedule and go unblemished.
When other conferences play an SEC school, most of them center their whole season on that one game outside of the own conference championship.
Week in and Week out in the SEC is unlike any other conference in college football. On any given weekend a team can board a plane or a bus and travel to an environment in the SEC that is not for the light hearted or weak fibered team. From Cowbells in Starkville to 100,000 Rocky Top singing fans in Knoxville, to the heat of sun soaked Florida Field in Gainesville, the Eagle flying to the rabid fans in Auburn, not to mention the Dog Barking fans behind the hedges in Athens or the night game in Baton Rouge or the 12th man in College Station. Even a "Basketball" school like Kentucky has become a tough place to get a road win under Stoops.

Playing in the SEC is just not lining up your best 11 against the other sides best 11, it is noise and the pageantry that comes along with it. The noise and passion doesn't wane or temper, it only grows as the game grows deeper.

The next time one of heads says the SEC is not on par with the other leagues just remember most of those people have never been to one of those games in one of those SEC big game stadiums.

Yes, I will say it clearly, Coaching in the SEC has lost its high level from 6 or 7 years ago, but the talent level is at an all time high. Look at the rosters in the SEC and see all the states represented. One only has to look at the NFL draft or NFL rosters to see where the talent comes from.

Well friend, maybe if Bama didn't take everyone's soul in the SEC this wouldn't be an issue. IN the early 2000's the SEC had a number of teams swap roles as #1 in the SEC. A good mix of the Big 6 IMO.

Then lord Satan when to Bama and the rest is history. SO like, deal with it Betty.
