All the trolls shitposting on here are on to something. Let's face the reality that we were able to get a lot of average teams bowling and this is the result. Two of the SEC's historic powers, LSU and Florida, just fired their coaches and went 6-6 on the season. Auburn and Tennessee have first-year head coaches and finished 6-6 and 7-5, respectively. Is it that much of a mystery to folks that the SEC just is not that good this season? When you have 4 out of 6 of the Big Six schools in an arse rut, the conference as a whole is not going to look very good.

UCF wanted that game and it showed. They won.

It's also reasonable to say Mizzou and Texas A&M don't quite understand how important it is to the conference to take the bowl game seriously. SEC schools put a lot of pressure on each other to make a good showing in bowl season. Texas A&M bailed and Mizzou had key players sitting out. I understand this could be a product of our time with players opting out and the COVID shite, but I'm not convinced other SEC teams would have let this slide.

Possibly true... but we still have the best Coeds in the country. Even beating out California. So we are winners no matter what happens darn it.

Every team in college football sucks every year. It's basically impossible to field a complete team, you always have new guys, injuries to deal with etc.

You can sit there and talk about all the ways each team sucks.

But what you can't do is name very many teams that are better. Because there are more teams out there that suck way more.

Besides state, bama, and maybe uga, the other teams don’t have what it takes.

Some teams are elite (above), some exist, and some are coward pussies (aTm)

Isn’t A&M like 8-2 in bowls since joining the SEC? I think we take it plenty seriously.

No idea what you are talking about with the stolen valor shite.

But apparently you are upset because LSU sucked before 2000 and wasn't a historical power.

You have a total of 12 SEC championships in the past 99 years. 5 of them have come since 2000, meaning the other 7 were spread out over the previous 79 years.

Historically LSU was an average team that had a good year or 2 here and there.

Even worse with Florida. They only have 8 SEC Championships, but the first wasn't until 1991.

Sorry, just not a historical power. I'd call you a power over the past 20 years, excluding your past 2, but historical? No.

Gotcha. So Alabama and Vanderbilt are the SEC’s two historic powers.

Makes sense.

So we should have this huge collective knee-jerk reaction because Mizzou and Florida lost their games? Only someone from Starkvegas would think that's significant.
