Well even with an expanded playoff there could be enough losses for everyone that could keep the SEC out of the top 12.

Big picture:

SEC and Big 10 just said "frick 'em all. Burn the power 5 to the ground. It's power 2 now."
I like this. Why share time and money with the Big 12 and ACC? They both are a bunch of glorified G5's.

I’m not looking at things as an Alabama fan. I’m looking at things from the SEC perspective.

wtf….

That will never ever ever ever ever happen. Not ever. We won’t ever not have 2 teams in the top 12. Most years we’ll have 4

Texas has the same number of SEC games as everybody else.

You know, the “Gauntlet.”

If any team makes it through unbeaten there is no question they will be the #1 top seed in the playoffs.

The SEC Champion is automatically in the playoff starting next season. The SEC is not getting left out altogether.

Not if it goes 8-4 or something like that.

With these November schedules the SEC could just take each other out of the picture is my point I’m trying to make. Losing late is never good. Dropping a game or 2 in November can knock a team out of the playoff picture. Losing the SECCG could if a team has 2 losses and then drops that game. The SEC has always been hard and it just got a lot worse. You have to remember we are going to a 12 team playoff but one slot is guaranteed to the highest ranked G5 team which is dumb. So everyone else is fighting over 11 spots and losing a game or two late could knock out a lot of SEC teams.

Heard all about that gauntlet. Either we win or lose but at least we don't have to hear about it anymore. We are in the sh!t and deal with it.

I didn't like Texas and Blow U to the SEC honestly but it ain't my call.

Don’t feel bad we really didn’t want Texas and OU in the SEC either but it wasn’t our call.

P4 conf champs get in no matter what the record is.

There is no possible way for any of the P4 conferences to get shut out.

How the hell do you figure that Alabama gets all the breaks? I seem to remember Bama being left out of the playoffs last year just to give an example.

I thought in the SEC “there are no cakewalks”? This post seems to imply there used to be.

No it just went from bad to worse. The SEC has never been easy but these schedules are insane.

Maybe the mighty fightin’ lsu tiggers can make a 12 team playoff, but I doubt it.
