For the past 5 years the East has been the West's whipping boy. Does anyone think that the East makes strides this year and gets better?

UT and UF should be solid and at least as good as last year. UT should be improved from last year. Despite our "good record" of 10 wins last year, we clearly weren't that good. We probably wont' be worse, but who knows how much better we might be with an all new staff and QB.
Vandy/sc/uk/mizz shoudl all be average at best to really bad.

No.
Georgia, Missouri, and South Carolina all have new coaches.
Florida lost a boat load of talent from last year.
Vandy and Kentucky are still themselves.
Tennessee is the only program from the East that won't deal with a lot of new personnel, whether it be coaches or players. With that said, I think Tennessee is highly overrated, and I don't think their program is built to handle the hype.
I think the East will come down to Georgia or Tennessee, but I don't expect either to come close to contending for a National Title.

Now that is funny. Of all the things, I don't think hype is something we have to institutionally worry about. We've been there, done that. As for this team in particular, it is composed of juniors who started their careers 5-7 then improved and improved again and suffered some painful losses last season. They aren't taking shite for granted.

I think Tennessee does, unfortunately I don't see the East as a whole though.

Five years?
If the east doesn't win the SECCG this season you'll only have one SEC Champion in the last decade...
West has won 7 straight, and 8 of the last 9
Last 10 years:
UF
LSU
UF
Bama
AU
LSU
Bama
AU
Bama
Bama

Yeah, Treon won't be back. We are in trouble.

Tennessee plays Bama and TAMU. We should at a minimum split those games. Georgia will beat Auburn and could beat Ole Miss. I think Florida and Arkansas will be a hell of a game but I think LSU will beat them. I think the top three teams in the East will hold their own.

Can we say SEC East and West vs Alabama? They running this shite and really prop up your numbers

Last 10 years:
4: Alabama W
2: AU W
2: LSU W
2: UF E
Half the time it's AU or LSU and y'all still lose
Only 3 SEC west teams have ever won the SECCG, UA LSU AU. You know 3-3-2 is mathematically the most even possible distribution for 8 championships over the last decade. We are 1 away from that at 4-2-2. As close as you can get. It's not like it's 6-1-1 and only bama can win the SECCG
UF is really propping up your (only) numbers. That distribution is even worse at 100% vs 50%
When SC was top dog in the East:
-Is Alabama the reason your 2010 SC team couldn't bring home the title to the east? No that was auburn
-is Alabama the reason your 2012 SC team couldn't get to the SECCG? No that was LSU
-but yes bama was still there those years, and still stacked. Welcome to the west
Take out our top program over the last ten years and the west would still own you. So add in the fact the best program is indeed in a division that is better regardless and the west really owns you
