The SEC championship needs to be moved back one week.

And this week could be makeup game week. The reason I think this is because of the Fla/LSU hurricane cancelled game fiasco and the SEC saying that you had to play 8 conference games to be eligible for the SEC championship game. A natural disaster such as the hurricane does have a probability of interfering with conference games in the southeast and teams shouldn't have to scramble to shuffle schedules to remain eligible.

No, Joe Alleva should have had a press conference on Wednesday or Thursday of that game week when Foley and SEC Douche dude were spouting lies to the press, in order to lay out LSU's position.
He should have said we will play the game anywhere it is safe to play (which he did say) and anytime (which he also said) upto Monday night OR there will not be a game this year. PERIOD.
But, as Alleva has proved over and over and over, he's a pussy.

LSU would have at least been able to say...."If we had played we would have won!" Then you could have all been mad at him for not doing exactly what he did.

Something else to whine about. And God a gator on here agreeing. Imagine that. It was both your ADs that caused the mess by having a dick match that ended up punishing both teams.

I was screaming for him to say this that week, the make up game, no matter when it was, was gonna hurt our schedule.
We had no business losing the game either way so we don't deserve the sugar bowl but that doesn't take away the point that Alleva is a pussy and we absolutely could have played that weekend.

I tend to disagree only because the winner of this game is usually going to the playoffs which are just 4 weeks away. 13 games is a long season and teams need time to heal. If you push it another week out you have less time to be ready for the post season.

Get rid of it. Go to an 8 team playoff and move it back one week.

It didn't punish Florida. They beat L6U's arse, won the East, and have 2 home games in a row coming up.

You're talking this specific case. I'm not. I'm talking about a real hurricane blowing in or maybe a tornado in Tuscaloosa . Disasters happen and the priority is getting people help. You can't expect people in the real world to jump through hoops for a football game when they have a crisis to deal with.

I prefer my team getting the extra week of rest/prep before the playoffs, so no.
