They had an opportunity to get Peyton, but turned him down for Schaub. Defense and weapons were Super Bowl Caliber when he would have come too.

Did you even watch the game? They won in spite of Manning's terrible play.

Defense and running game won for Denver. The same formula that has always worked.

Defense and running didn't work so well last year.

Joke is still on the Texans since they fired Kubiak and Wade

The way Peyton won last night is no different from the way McElroy and McCarron won titles at Bama. Peyton didn't need to be vintage Peyton, he just needed to be a veteran leader for the rest of his offense, avoid costly mistakes, and take what the defense gave him. He did just that well enough to win the game. He's put plenty of teams on his back in the past, fitting that in likely his swan song, the defense puts him on their back.

Forget Peyton and his noodle arm. The Texans let go the two coaches who put together one of the best defensive performances I have ever seen. 2000 Ravens and '02 bucs are the only ones I can think of that compete.

I mean they went 2-14. Kubiak was like 4 games below 500 in 8 seasons as coach. At a certain point you have to make a change

Elway>>>>Rick Smith is really what it comes down to

I don't think he watched the game. The game SUCKED, unless you're a defensive minded guy.

It wasn't a very well played game. Both defenses were playing lights out. No doubt about it. But I saw Cam playing bad. He was just missing receivers. His mechanics betrayed him. He was throwing off his back foot instead of stepping into his throws. Yes, the Denver Rush was forcing the issue. But sometimes u have to stand tall in the pocket and deliver the ball down the field and take the hit. U complete a few like that and then maybe they stop blitzing u so much. He just was a little off on several throws. His WRs couldn't quite come up with the catch. A better placed ball and some of those turn into completions. Peyton played like he has all year really. Just plain bad.

Not only that but I recall a lot of Texans fans wanting to keep Wade or give him the HC position and get rid of Kubiak.

I'm sensing a biased view here. I'm a die hard Panther fans so I can tell you that WR has been the problem all season. Those drops were on them. Cam didn't play a great game but his wr and ol let him down. Look how long he had to hold on to the ball back receivers couldn't get separation. Tedd Ginn had a key drop and Cotchery is trash.

Oh yeah and I'm sure they went to two super bowls in the past couple years in spite of Manning's terrible play

Wade

I'll never understand why they didn't promote him to HC. Now we're stuck with a mediocre shithead.
